35th Real Estate Agent Training Session Commences in Lucknow, Focus on Enhancing Professional Competence
Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, February 26, 2026: In a continued effort to make Uttar Pradesh real estate sector more transparent and consumer-friendly, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has initiated another significant step. Under this initiative, the 35th Real Estate Agent Training Session was inaugurated at the Indian Literacy Board (ILB), Kanpur Road, Lucknow.
The four-day training program is designed to provide agents with comprehensive legal awareness, professional expertise, and a strong ethical foundation. A total of 53 participants enrolled in this session, preparing themselves to qualify as certified and registered real estate agents.
The program was inaugurated by UPRERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy. On the occasion, Sandhya Tiwari, Director of the Indian Literacy Board, expressed her confidence that the training would prove insightful and highly beneficial for all attendees. RERA Secretary Mahendra Verma presented a detailed overview of the four-day schedule and encouraged participants to attend each session with dedication and seriousness.

In his keynote address, Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy emphasized that the real estate sector’s credibility stands firmly on three pillars—Promoter (Developer), Real Estate Agent, and RERA. Effective coordination among these three stakeholders is vital to protect consumer interests and reinforce the sector’s positive image.
He highlighted that the training program provides an interactive platform to address participants’ questions while offering in-depth knowledge of key legislations such as the RERA Act, the Apartment Ownership Act, and the Transfer of Property Act. The aim is to strengthen agents’ legal understanding and professional capability so that promoters cannot take advantage of any gaps in their knowledge.
The chairman particularly drew attention to the Construction Linked Payment Plan, reiterating that promoters must collect payments strictly in proportion to the actual progress of construction. He stressed that agents share responsibility in monitoring compliance. Responsible and vigilant agents can significantly reduce the likelihood of consumer exploitation.
He told participants that periodic refresher courses will also be organized to ensure agents remain updated with evolving regulations. “Our objective is not only to enforce compliance but to build a dependable, accountable, and transparent real estate system in Uttar Pradesh,” the chairman said.
He also announced that through the dedicated ‘Agent Query’ email facility introduced by RERA, trained agents will be able to communicate directly with the Authority regarding any future queries or concerns.
Key Topics Covered
On the opening day, CA Praveen Srivastava conducted a session on the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), along with GST and Income Tax calculations related to real estate transactions.
