SYSTRA Drives Digital Innovation in Telangana’s Capital Projects, Launches Hyderabad Office

Hyderabad, August 1, 2025: SYSTRA, a global leader in public transport infrastructure engineering, hosted its symposium on Tech-Driven Capital Project Delivery at ITC Kohenur, Hyderabad, on July 31.
The event brought together senior government officials, industry experts and project leaders to explore the transformative role of digital innovation in the planning, execution and management of capital projects across Telangana. It also marked the inauguration of SYSTRA’s office in Hyderabad, a strategic move to enhance local project delivery and talent development.
N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Minister for Irrigation and CAD, was the guest of honour. Several other senior government officials were also present.
Reddy lauded SYSTRA’s contributions, saying, “We welcome SYSTRA’s initiative to deepen its partnership with Telangana. Their focus on digital-led project delivery aligns with the state’s vision for faster, smarter and more resilient infrastructure.”
The symposium opened with a welcome address by Hari Kumar Somalraju, MD, SYSTRA India, and featured a special address by Jean-Charles Vollery, Group CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board, SYSTRA.
Vollery said, “This symposium reflects our shared ambition with Telangana to harness digital tools for delivering infrastructure at scale and speed. The opening of our Hyderabad office is a concrete step in enabling proximity to key stakeholders, accelerating solutions and cultivating local talent. We’re committed to advancing impactful, sustainable projects through collaboration and innovation.”
Echoing the sentiment, Somalraju added, “Hyderabad is fast emerging as a hub of engineering excellence and digital transformation. This platform has enabled meaningful discussions on how innovation can improve efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder engagement in capital project execution.”
He added, “With our new office, SYSTRA is well-positioned to support Telangana’s evolving infrastructure needs with global best practices tailored to local contexts.”
With the new Hyderabad office, SYSTRA reinforces its long-term commitment to India’s infrastructure growth, particularly in Telangana. The office will serve as a regional base to provide agile, high-quality support to ongoing and future projects while creating opportunities for engineering and project management talent in the region.
Jean Charles Vollery also met Shri D. Sridhar Babu (Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Telangana) prior to the event.
