Knight Frank appoints Deben Moza as Head of Project Management India & Asia-Pacific
Mumbai, March 31, 2026:

Knight Frank, a leading global independent real estate consultancy, has announced the strategic appointment of Deben Moza as the Head of Project Management for India and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The move is designed to strengthen the firm’s end-to-end occupier services and follows a period of significant growth for the company’s project management division under Moza’s long-standing tenure.
Moza, who has been with Knight Frank for over 12 years, has overseen a business unit in India that achieved a remarkable compound annual growth rate of 34%. This performance earned the firm recognition from RICS as South Asia’s Best Project Management Team for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025. His leadership has seen the division expand beyond traditional fit-out management into specialized sectors, including government infrastructure, heritage conservation, and large-scale Design & Build projects.
His extensive portfolio includes several landmark developments, such as the world’s largest two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility and a nearly 3-million-square-foot commercial EV battery plant. Moza has also managed high-profile heritage conservation and architectural illumination projects for iconic sites like the Golden Temple and the Walled City of Jaipur, alongside a diverse array of laboratories and Global Capability Centres for multinational corporations.

Shishir Baijal, International Partner, Chairman and Managing Director of Knight Frank India, praised the appointment, stating, “Deben’s appointment to lead Project Management across India and Asia-Pacific is a testament to the exceptional platform the team has built over the past decade. He has been instrumental in cementing Knight Frank’s leadership in the corporate real estate space, spearheading cutting-edge corporate fit-outs and delivering landmark projects for leading global and Indian corporations. His deep understanding of the Indian market, from heritage conservation to large-scale industrial developments, combined with his regional mandate, positions us well to capture the significant growth opportunities ahead. We look forward to the next chapter of this business under his leadership.”
Reflecting on the new regional mandate, Deben Moza, International Partner and Senior Executive Director, remarked, “Knight Frank Project Management Services isn’t just growing; we are reshaping project management excellence across heritage, technology, commercial spaces, and beyond. As we look ahead, our focus remains on driving stronger collaboration, fostering innovation, and delivering even greater value across markets.”

The appointment received further endorsement from regional and global leadership. Craig Shute, CEO of Asia-Pacific at Knight Frank, noted that the promotion recognizes the “exceptional business” Moza built in India, highlighting his client focus and ability to build high-performing teams. Tim Armstrong, Global Head of Occupier Strategy and Solutions, added, “Deben’s appointment reflects our strategic ambition to deliver truly integrated, end-to-end solutions for occupiers across Asia-Pacific. With over 800 Project Management professionals across the region and a proven ability to execute across diverse asset classes, from complex fit-outs to large-scale industrial and manufacturing developments, Knight Frank is uniquely positioned to support clients through every stage of their real estate journey. Deben’s leadership will be instrumental in driving that vision forward.”
