OneCrest Infra Acquires 8 Acres in Murthal for Destination Shopping Village
New Delhi, September 24, 2026: Gurugram-based real estate developer OneCrest Infra has acquired 8 acres of land along National Highway 44 in Sonipat, Haryana, through an outright purchase. Located nearly 1 km before the Amrik Sukhdev landmark in Murthal, the site sits within the region’s food and hospitality hub. The company plans to construct an open-air destination featuring premium retail, international F&B outlets, family entertainment, leisure spaces, and a hotel, OneCrest Infra said in a press release.
The project aims to leverage Murthal’s established status as a highway dining hub for Delhi-NCR residents and travelers moving toward Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. By integrating hospitality and retail with existing dining options, the project intends to convert brief highway stops into longer stays.
Vaarun Virmaani, Founder and Chairman of OneCrest Infra, said, “Murthal has developed a unique consumer ecosystem where travellers on NH-44 increasingly choose to stop, relax, and make the journey itself part of the experience. We see a clear opportunity to build on this momentum by introducing a curated destination combining shopping, dining, entertainment, and hospitality. Internationally, walkable shopping villages outside major metros are established, highly successful formats, and we want to bring that benchmark to the NCR corridor. Murthal offers the exact location, connectivity, and consumer density required for a project of this scale.”
The development will feature pedestrian-friendly avenues, landscaped zones, specialized dining spaces, and a premium hotel. OneCrest Infra will execute the project under a build-to-lease model, retaining ownership to oversee long-term management and brand curation while offering tenants direct visibility along the NH-44 frontage.
Regional accessibility is expected to increase with future infrastructure developments, including the proposed Delhi–Panipat–Karnal Namo Bharat RRTS corridor overseen by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation. Following the completion of the land acquisition, OneCrest Infra has initiated master planning, architectural design, and environmental approval processes, with brand onboarding discussions to follow.
