Petros Stone and Inch Studio Unveil Luxury Collectible Furniture Merging Bastar Art with Natural Stone at India Design ID Mumbai 2026

Pune, October 7, 2026: Petros Stone LLP has unveiled a collection of collectible luxury furniture in collaboration with Inch Studio, combining traditional Bastar art with Indian natural stone at India Design ID Mumbai 2026, according to a press release issued by the company.

The collection will be showcased from October 9 to October 11, 2026, at Jio World Garden in BKC, Mumbai. The limited-edition pieces aim to transform raw stone and indigenous metalwork into functional, sculptural interior elements such as furniture, rugs, glasswork, and custom finishes.

The design integrates the detailed metalwork of Bastar craftsmanship directly with natural stone processed by the engineering team at Petros Stone. Rather than using materials as simple ornament or backdrop, the collaboration treats both craft and stone as central design elements. The inherent variations in color, veining, and texture ensure each piece produced remains unique.

Rishabh Jain, Director of International Business at Petros Stone LLP, highlighted the strategy behind the collaboration. “Indian stone has spent decades travelling across the world through architecture—in floors, façades and large-scale projects. We wanted to take it somewhere else,” Jain said. “This collection brings stone into a more intimate and collectible space. When Bastar art meets precisely processed natural stone, the result is more than furniture. It is a meeting of two Indian craft traditions, translated into a contemporary design language.”

The partnership marks a shift for Petros Stone from supplying traditional architectural surfaces to designing collectible objects intended for luxury residences, commercial spaces, and hospitality projects.

“India has extraordinary depth in both material and craftsmanship, yet these strengths are too often experienced separately. We want to change that conversation,” Jain added. “When exceptional Indian stone and exceptional Indian artistry come together, they can create something that is unmistakably rooted in India, while being completely at home in the world’s most sophisticated interiors.”
