Elets holds fourth Smart City summit

Several Central and state ministers, bureaucrats, intellectuals and field experts came together on a common platform on Friday exchanging ideas, discussing possibilities and challenges for building smart cities in the country.
The platform was provided by Elets Technomedia which organised the fourth Annual Smart City summit, at Hotel Le Meridian in New Delhi.
Various stakeholders in the smart city project dwelt on a plethora of possibilities that these new urban centers can hope for and endless opportunities that can be availed for the futuristic cities.
The event focused on an assortment of smart city aspects, including urban development, power, energy, transport, technology, green building, network and communication technology etc. Krishan Pal Gujjar, Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, inaugurated the summit along with R Chandrashekhar, President, Nasscom and Ravi Gupta, CEO of Elets Technomedia.
Addressing the summit, Gujjar said, “This kind of platform is really helpful to take all the concerned bodies and relative ministry to join hands and discuss on current and future perspective of country’s infrastructure. Smart city initiative will not only boost the Indian economy but also be helpful to empower each and every large, midsize and small industry.”
