Under-construction Noida projects will not be allowed to increase FAR
NOIDA: The Noida Authority on Friday said that it would not allow any increase in floor area ratio (FAR) for under-construction and forthcoming projects in the city.
CEO P K Agarwal also assured a delegation of Confederation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations that henceforth NOC and completion certificate “will only be issued to builders subject to completion of common facilities, payment of dues by builders as per latest rulings and those who complete the infrastructure work of under-construction towers or projects.”
The meeting held late on Thursday evening also discussed other issues including streamlining of unauthorised parking charges, free parking in malls and hospitals, check on encroachments, broadening of drains and also covering them with greenery, a proper fogging schedule etc.
Chief planner and architect SC Gaur was also present in the meeting. According to Jain, the difficulties faced by homebuyers have also increased with non-completion of projects.
On unauthorised parking in front of schools, hospitals and commercial complexes, Agarwal agreed to CONRWA suggestion that they be allowed inside the school/hospital building complex instead of encroaching the road outside.
A similar arrangement was also agreed upon for residential apartment complex where visitor parking will be provided for within the society and not outside the gate, encroaching the roads.
No roadside parking of autos/rickshaws within 50 metres of street crossings and in/out gates of RWAs/society complexes will be allowed to further curb encroachments.
Agarwal said while Sector 18 multi-level parking will soon be ready, management of vendors and hawkers within designated vendor zones is also on the anvil.
Auto/cycle rickshaw stands will also be marked with yellow paint and the authorised parking areas will be marked and painted.
