Emaar MGF celebrates ‘World AIDS Day’ at its project sites
GURGAON: Real estate developer Emaar MGF Land Ltd on Monday celebrated the ‘World AIDS Day’ at its project sites to promote awareness about HIV/AIDS among site workers.
The initiative was part of the company’s efforts to take the ‘Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat’ campaign forward by encouraging the idea of a healthy body, healthy workforce among labourers and employees.
On this occasion, Emaar MGF organised health check-up camps, awareness sessions and vaccinations for labourers at its various project sites. For this purpose, the company collaborated with the Haryana state agencies for AID Sawareness programme, Samarth NGO, and local hospitals. Workers were also encouraged to participate in various activities like slogan, poster and banner- making competitions and quiz competition on AIDS awareness and safety.
Prizes were given to best health, safety and environment-conscious performers among site staff and workers.
Baljot Gill, Vice-President–Projects, Emaar MGF Land Limited, said “We at Emaar MGF believe that only a healthy society can help build a strong nation. It is through these small steps that we intend to promote awareness about health and safety amongst our workers and employees to close the access gap.”
