New Delhi, September 14, 2026: A-One Steels India Ltd, a backward-integrated steel products manufacturer in southern India, sourced 5,007.53 lakh units of green electricity in FY26, according to its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP). Renewable sources accounted for 83.20% of the company’s total electricity consumption of 6,018.33 lakh units, with captive generation, waste heat recovery, and power purchase agreements (PPAs) enabling savings of approximately Rs 1.57 per unit in electricity costs, the company said in a press release.

The cost reductions were driven by 10 solar and six wind PPAs totaling 230 MW of contracted capacity, alongside internal thermal and waste heat recovery captive plants across its facilities in Bellary, Chikkantapur, and Koppal. The company’s green energy framework helped mitigate exposure to fluctuating power tariffs while earning GreenPro certifications for products manufactured at its Gauribidanur, Hindupur, and Bellary plants. A-One Steels also received a Green Steel Certificate covering 1,80,351 tonnes of TMT bars produced in Fiscal 2026, featuring an average emission intensity of 0.67 t-CO₂e/tfs, a 5-star rating, and 69.55% greenness.

The disclosure comes as the company prepares to launch its Rs 405 crore initial public offering, scheduled to open on September 24, 2026, and close on September 28, 2026. The issue comprises a fresh issue of Rs 355 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 50 crore by promoter selling shareholders. Net proceeds of Rs 250 crore from the fresh issue are earmarked for the prepayment or partial repayment of outstanding borrowings, with the remaining balance allocated toward general corporate purposes. The equity shares are set to list on both the BSE and NSE.

Financially, A-One Steels reported operational revenue of Rs 4,148.57 crore for FY26, up from Rs 3,541.78 crore in FY25 and Rs 3,834.21 crore in FY24. Net profit for FY26 reached Rs 127.41 crore, compared to Rs 7.71 crore in FY25 and Rs 38.91 crore in FY24. As of March 31, 2026, the company operated an aggregate installed manufacturing capacity of 17,33,100 MTPA across its production sites.
