India continues to be among one of the fastest growing economies in the world despite recent challenges and is still viewed as an attractive investment destination. For real estate industry, it is one sector that still has to come of age. There is a huge gap between demand and supply. Most of the cities lack affordable housing. Since per income is very low in the country, the demand is more for the affordable sector. We see a focus of indigenous companies more towards affordable housing. In coming days affordable housing is going to play a key role for the growth of the industry.
