Ambience Malls Celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day Through Valour, Craftsmanship and Contemporary Expression
New Delhi, August 12, 2026: Ambience Mall Gurgaon and Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj are marking India’s 80th Independence Day with curated experiences that bring together the country’s legacy of freedom, its rich cultural heritage, and the spirit of a new generation. At Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj, the celebration reflects on India’s journey from the freedom struggle to a dynamic modern nation. Meanwhile, Ambience Mall Gurgaon offers a tribute to the courage of India’s armed forces alongside the enduring legacy of Indian craftsmanship, the spirit of Swadeshi, and contemporary youth expressions, Ambience Group said in a press release.
At the heart of Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj stands a specially designed installation serving as a visual representation of the nation’s journey. The circular centrepiece symbolises unity, while flowing saffron, white, and green elements reflect struggle, sacrifice, freedom, and progress. An Ashoka Chakra-inspired blue element introduces movement and continuity, complemented by greenery representing growth and hope. Beyond the interiors, the mall’s façade is illuminated in the Tricolour, supported by immersive indoor décor, a grand piano performance, and curated dance showcases by students from Lady Shri Ram College and Hindu College.
At Ambience Mall Gurgaon, the centrepiece of the venue is the ‘Eternal Flame of Valour’ installation, paying tribute to the sacrifice and spirit of India’s soldiers. Handcrafted handloom art pieces displayed across the mall celebrate the nation’s textile heritage, while commemorating National Handloom Day and the legacy of the 1905 Swadeshi Movement. The venue will host an exhibit by the Army Women’s Welfare Association on August 15 and 16 to highlight women entrepreneurs and artisans from the armed forces community. The celebrations also feature an Air Force Band performance on August 15 and youth performances by students from Miranda House and Gargi College.
