Amplus Solar ties up with Real-estate major Vatika group to solarize their buildings
New Delhi, August 1, 2016: Amplus Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s leading solar developers, has tied up with Vatika group to set up solar rooftop systems in their buildings.
The total capacity is 750kW spread across 6 buildings in Gurgaon and would provide on-site renewable power. Out of this, a 100kW system on Vatika Business Park, a state-of-art commercial hub on Sohna Road is already operational.
Speaking about this project, Mr. Sanjeev Aggarwal, Managing Director& CEO, Amplus Energy said “We are very pleased to collaborate with Vatika group for this project which will lead to significant cut down of their power emissions from diesel gensets and state eletricity. These projects would add to the real-estate solar rooftop section of the diverse portfolio of Amplus Energy and provide green power to Vatika’s buildings.”.
These projects would help Vatika accrue considerable savings on energy in addition to making a tangible impact on the environment by reducing emissions by 25,800 MT of CO2 over the life of the plant which has the same effect as planting32,000 trees.
The real estate sector in India is one of the top most contributors of CO2, and with demand still growing at a rapid pace for housing and commercial sector.
As Indian real estate sector moves to more organized processes by following global best practices in construction, safety and emission norms, many developers across India are moving to use solar rooftop systems for their buildings to reduce their emissions.
