APL Apollo comes up with ‘Apollo Column’

Apollo Tubes Limited (APL Apollo) has come up with Apollo Column, a new range of hollow structural steel sections.
A press release by the firm said Apollo Colum has created a rage in the market because of its superior quality, sturdiness and ease of bending, punching, and drilling. Apollo Columns are put together and joined with bolts to create complete modular structures, it added.
Among the advantages of modular buildings supported by APL Apollo, as listed by the company press release, are: Greener: The factory-controlled process reduces pollution and wastage, and eradicates site disturbances; Faster: Construction of modular buildings in factory occurs simultaneously with assembling at site, allowing projects to be completed in half the time of traditional construction and Smarter: Modular buildings are majorly built with steel tubes and to the same standards as conventional construction methodology.
Sanjay Gupta, CMD, APL Apollo, said, “One of the biggest advantages of using Apollo Column in modular buildings is that it lowers steel consumption while reducing project duration and assuring minimal wastage at the same time. An irreplaceable member of structural buildings due to its high load bearing capacity and strength-to weight ratio, Apollo Column offers higher radii of gyration about both axes providing superior compression performance and significant weight savings.”
