Ashiana senior citizen games to be held on October 3 and 4

Real estate player Ashiana Housing Ltd will organise the second edition of inter-senior citizen games, Jashn 2015, on October 3 and October 4 at Bhiwadi. The event is expected to have participation of over 500 senior citizens (aged 50-85 years).

According to a press release, after months of practice, and preparations, winning teams from all three locations, Bhiwadi, Lavasa and Jaipur, have been finalised which will compete in the state-level Jashn 2015.

Some of the key sports activities that will take place during the event would be table tennis tournament, badminton, chess, carom game and a mini-marathon. Besides sports activities, there would be competitions like flower arrangements, salad-making, Rangoli competition singing and dancing. A ramp show will also be organised in which senior citizen will walk.

“The purpose of the games is to keep senior citizens involved, social and active. Participants are on a schedule with which they can train and participate in local games to qualify for the state finals,” said Murlidhara, Ayurvedic consultant and psychologist at Ashiana Housing Ltd.
