CCI orders probe against DLF
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday ordered an inquiry against realty major DLF, finding the company to have prime-facie abused its dominant position. This was the second such order within two days.
The CCI has asked its investigative arm to conduct a detailed probe, related to alleged “abuse of dominant position in development and sale of residential units in Gurgaon” for the Skycourt residential project of DLF Universal.
Ashok Tyagi,CFO, DLF, said, “We came to know of it only yesterday. CCI has not passed a judgment but only ordered an enquiry in the ‘Regal Gardens’ matter, they have ordered an enquiry so the legal process will follow its course”
Another inquiry ordered by the CCI on February 10, for similar complaints related to the ‘Regal Gardens at DLF Garden City’ project in Gurgaon.
