CommonFloor comes up with GIS-based real estate report
Realty portal CommonFloor has come up with a Geographic Information System- based real estate report which highlights key trends witnessed in real estate market across the cities.
A press release issued by the company said GIS is a broad term that can refer to a number of different technologies, processes, and methods. For that reason, GIS and location intelligence applications can be the foundation for many location-enabled services that rely on analysis and visualization of real estate world.
This report, it said, is a good sign to see how real estate can embrace GIS. What goes beyond a GIS is a spatial data infrastructure, a concept that has no such restrictive boundaries. Spatial analysis or spatial statistics includes formal techniques which study entities using their topological, geometric, or geographic properties.
