Elpro Energy Installs Smart Bus Stop in Bengaluru, to Add 1500 More Across India with 700 Crore Investment

Bengaluru / October 4, 2024: Elpro Energy Dimensions, an innovative energy solutions, on Friday announced the installation of a cutting-edge smart bus stop at Nrupathunga Road, Bengaluru, inaugurated by Dr. Ramalinga Reddy, Minister of Transport and Muzrai, Government of Karnataka. The firm also aims to install more than 1500 smart bus stops across the country by 2026 with an investment of Rs 700 crore in a comprehensive approach to upgrade India’s smart mobility and general smart infrastructure, the company said in a statement.

This development comes after Elpro Energy established India’s first smart bus stop at ELCITA. The new-age smart bus stop directly translated into the firm registering remarkable scalability and growth, on the back of corporations seeking to replicate similar installations as part of their CSR initiatives, the statement added.

Ramesh Singh, CEO of Elpro Energy, shared his insights over the recent installation, saying, “Our long-term vision is to supplement India’s bid to become energy sufficient through sustainable energy. The impact of the latest installation in Bengaluru is far from limited to the location, as we take the first step towards accountability and transition towards clean energy. Innovation and originality drives this technology to accumulate success and we remain confident that it will act as a critical enabler to assisting the city in hosting a more sustainable and environmentally friendly public transportation system.”

The firm’s R&D Directors, Nitin and Nalin Kanshal, and their team, developed the smart bus stop with a range of features designed to improve the commuting experience. These features include a sanitary pad vending machine, Wi-Fi, a surveillance camera, a digital information display, a sensor-based dustbin, a panic button, and a backlit banner display. These features aim to enhance safety, convenience, and hygiene, particularly for women, the statement said.
