Embassy REIT to Join Nifty 500 and Become the Only REIT in Nifty Midcap 150
New Delhi, August 13, 2026: Embassy Office Parks REIT, India’s first listed real estate investment trust and Asia’s largest office REIT by area, announced today that it will be included in key National Stock Exchange benchmarks, including the Nifty 500 and Nifty Midcap 150, following a periodic index review by NSE Indices Limited. Under the revised index composition, Embassy REIT will be the sole REIT represented in the Nifty Midcap 150, with all changes scheduled to take effect from September 30, 2026, Embassy REIT said in a press release.
The inclusion expands the trust’s presence across key market benchmarks, broadening its visibility across the investment landscape and unlocking potential for higher participation from institutional and passive funds. Given that the Nifty Midcap 150 is actively tracked by numerous exchange-traded funds and index funds across India, the inclusion marks an important milestone for improving investor access to the REIT asset class.

Beyond the flagship Nifty 500 and Nifty Midcap 150 indices, Embassy REIT will also be added to several other broad-based NSE indices, including the Nifty Next 100, Nifty LargeMidcap 250, Nifty MidSmallcap 400, and Nifty Total Market. Furthermore, its inclusion in the Nifty 500 will extend to thematic and custom variants, such as the Nifty500 Equal Weight, Nifty500 Multicap 50:25:25, and Nifty500 LargeMidSmall Equal-Cap Weighted indices.
Welcoming the development, Amit Shetty, Chief Executive Officer of Embassy REIT, said, “We are pleased to be included in the Nifty 500 and, notably, as the only REIT in the Nifty Midcap 150, alongside several other key NSE indices. This is a significant moment for Embassy REIT and for the continued evolution of India’s listed REIT market. Index inclusion brings REITs further into the mainstream of India’s capital markets, enabling access to a broader pool of investors. As India’s first listed REIT, we are proud to have played a pioneering role in the growth of the asset class and remain focused on delivering sustained performance and long-term value for our unitholders.”
