EzStays to Add 3,000 Beds in Five Cities For Capacity of 7,500 by 2025
Delhi, December 18, 2024 : Student housing provider EzStays, backed by industry leaders such as former KPMG CEO Richard Rekhy and Singapore-based investment company Das Capital, plans to add 3,000 extra beds in key educational hubs Dehradun, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Noida and Gurgaon by the following academic session. This development will increase EzStays’ overall capacity to 7,500 beds across India.
EzStays, which already has over 4,500 beds in cities like Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Chandigarh, is now expanding to Dehradun, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Noida, and Gurgaon. These new locations are strategically chosen to meet surging demand as India’s higher education sector is set to enroll over 92 million students by 2035, with Tier II and Tier III cities driving growth in educational infrastructure.
Along with the rapid expansion, EzStays has witnessed an extraordinary revenue growth of 620 per cent from INR5 crore in its first year of operations in 2019 to over INR36 crore in FY 23-24. The projected revenue of the company is INR53 crore for FY 24-25
Vaibhav Khanna, CEO and Co-Founder of EzStays, commented: “Today’s students demand more than simply a place to stay; they require environments that promote their academic and personal development. Expanding into Noida, Gurgaon, Dehradun, Guwahati, and Bhubaneswar is a significant accomplishment for us.”
