Greenply to set up manufacturing unit at Sandila in Hardoi
Greenply Industries has announced that it will invest around Rs 75 crore to set up a plywood and allied products manufacturing unit at Sandila Industrial Area in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
The proposed capacity addition is 13.50 million square metre per annum while the existing capacity of the company is 24.90 million square metre per annum, said a press release.
Greenply, it said, has decided to set up the plant at Hardoi considering the proximity of principal raw material such as agro forestry timber and availability of workers, along with growing demand in northern and central markets of India.
The new project is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2021-22, added the release.
Sanidhya Mittal, Joint Managing Director, Greenply Industries Ltd, said, “We at Greenply are continually striving on building a sustainable operational framework vital for sustained value creation by working on capacity building and securing resource accessibility.”
