IHG Expands Luxury Footprint in India with New InterContinental Property in Mumbai’s Goregaon

Mumbai, June 5, 2026: IHG Hotels & Resorts has officially signed a management agreement with Zon Hotels (Mumbai) Private Limited to develop the InterContinental Mumbai Goregaon. Scheduled to open its doors in the first quarter of 2030, the 350-key hotel aims to bring world-class luxury to one of Mumbai’s most rapidly expanding commercial corridors. This strategic expansion marks a major addition to IHG’s upscale portfolio in India and further solidifies its market presence in one of the nation’s key commercial and tourism hubs, the company said in a press release.
The upcoming property will be situated in Goregaon, a thriving western suburb strategically positioned between Andheri and Malad, ensuring seamless connectivity for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel is designed to feature 350 elegantly appointed guest rooms, which includes an inventory of 70 premium suites. As the world’s first international luxury hotel brand, InterContinental currently operates over 237 hotels globally with more than 100 in its development pipeline, continuing its tradition of connecting guests with authentic local cultures and experiences.

Once completed, the InterContinental Mumbai Goregaon will offer an array of high-end amenities, including five distinct dining venues featuring an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, specialty restaurants, and a sophisticated lobby lounge. The property is also set to become a premier venue for corporate events and gatherings, boasting extensive meeting spaces and one of the largest ballrooms in the city. For wellness and recreation, the hotel will house a fully equipped fitness center, a luxury spa, a swimming pool, dedicated retail spaces, and ample parking facilities.
