Kalpataru Ltd. Signs Redevelopment Project in Andheri West with ₹1,400 Crore GDV Potential
Mumbai, March 14, 2026: Kalpataru Limited has announced the signing of a redevelopment agreement for the Shree Mahalakshmi Cooperative Housing Society (CHS) in Andheri West. The project is situated on a three-acre land parcel located off Veera Desai Road. According to company specifications, the development features a potential carpet area of approximately 0.4 million square feet and an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of ₹1,400 crore.
The site is located within the Andheri West micro-market, an established area characterized by a mix of residential and commercial properties. The project location provides access to existing social infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and retail hubs, as well as proximity to local business districts. This move follows a broader trend of developers targeting established Mumbai suburbs where land for greenfield projects is limited.
The proposed development will be entirely residential, with plans focusing on modern infrastructure and connectivity. This project adds to Kalpataru’s current development pipeline and aligns with the firm’s ongoing strategy to secure redevelopment contracts across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
