Kitchen, bath trends fair begins

UBM India is organising a three-day fair focusing on kitchen and bath showcasing latest trends in this sector. The fair opens on Friday at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
According to a press release, the fair is being held in the national Capital as the market in the northern region has been a predominant hub for bathroom and tiles products and the kitchen industry has also recognised this as the key market. A showcase demo by celebrity chef Ranveer Brar will be an added attraction.
The fair will also provide the fast-growing construction industry an opportunity to look closer at the kitchen and bath avenues, the release said.
Yogesh Mudras, Director UBM India, said, “Today in India, modernised kitchen market is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 42.93 per cent by 2018, sanitary ware will see a growth between 12-15 per cent. Since both segments have witnessed a shift from utility to luxury is estimated to grow 86 percent constantly between 2013 to 2018.Influenced by the urban India’s growth in corporate environment and the rising middle-class population’s per capita income, this industry is expected to further grow in the coming years.”
