NEW DELHI: NCR-based Lotus Greens Developers Pvt. Ltd. has donated Rs 21 lakh towards relief for flood-affected people tin Jammu and Kashmir.

At a ceremony to celebrate the launch of its projects, Nirmal Singh, founder of Lotus Greens, presented a cheque for Rs. 21 lakh to senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi for contributing to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to help victims in the flood-ravaged state. Also present on the occasion were noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani, BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, CWG gold medal list Sushil Kumar, prominent people from the banking and investment community and leading lights from the real estate industry.

Appreciating the gesture of Lotus Greens, Joshi said he wished that more organisations and corporate houses would take the initiative to resurrect flood-torn J&K. “I hope that like Lotus Greens, others in the real estate industry will also come out to contribute for the relief and rebuilding of people’s life in Kashmir,” he said.

Jethmalani said: “It is a commendable gesture on the part of Lotus Greens to aid and provide succour to lakhs of people displaced and rendered homeless by the flood fury”.

P Sahel, Vice-Chairman of Lotus Greens, said, “At this time of crisis it is the duty of every Indian to lend help and support to the flood-affected people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are extending our help by donating a small amount to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund”.
