L&T Secures Major Order for Large-Scale High-Rise Housing Project in Mumbai
New Delhi, July 28, 2026: Indian multinational Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Monday that its Residential, Commercial Buildings & Factories (RCF) business vertical has secured a major order from a reputed client for a large-scale housing redevelopment project in Mumbai. Under the company’s order classification framework, a “major” order represents a project value ranging between ₹5,000 crore and ₹10,000 crore, L&T said in a statement.
The scope of the contract includes the design and construction of 26 high-rise residential towers, each rising to 120 metres, on a turnkey basis. The extensive project encompasses structural works, architectural finishes, and electromechanical services. To meet the project’s stringent delivery schedules, L&T plans to deploy its proven large-wall panel precast construction technology, where building components will be manufactured in a state-of-the-art precast facility and assembled on-site to enhance quality, productivity, and speed.
