MBCN special kids’ campaign to reach out to people

Special children of Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan, an initiative of the Ponty Chadha Foundation, organized an awareness campaign on the ‘International Day for People with Disabilities on Thursday.
According to a press release, children with special needs’ put the blue and orange Twibbon on people’s clothes and clicked selfies with them. They requested people to share these selfies on their social network pages to spread the cause further.
The press release said children visited leading corporates, schools, universities, and malls and markets to reach out to maximum people and sensitize them about the cause. The places visited were Wave Corporate office, Express Trade Tower, J.C. World, Jaypee Hospital, Sify, Infoedge, Seven Promises, Mercer, Mentor, Genesis Global School, Amity University, Summerville School, JBM School, Wave Mall, GIP Mall, Select City Walk amongst many other locations. These special children were received with great warmth and people enthusiastically clicked pictures with them.
Speaking on the occasion, Vandana Sharma, Director, Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan School, said “We wish to change people’s perception about disability. With this awareness campaign, we are trying to reach out to people and make them understand that with a positive attitude and support these special children can also live their lives with pride and dignity within the community. We aim at breaking the attitudinal barriers with this campaign.”
