MHADA Pune Board Conducts Computerized Draw for 4850 Flats

Pune, July 18, 2024: The central government aims to build three crore houses for the homeless in the country under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. To support this goal, the Maharashtra state government is working to give impetus to the housing sector, said Maharashtra Housing Minister Atul Save in Pune today.
The computerized draw for selling 4850 flats in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Tathawade, Solapur, and Sangli was held on Thursday at the Pune Zilla Parishad Hall by Housing Minister Atul Save. During his speech, Save said that 46,532 applications were received for the 4850 flats under the Pune Housing and Area Development Board. This strong response underlines the high demand for affordable housing in the state. He added that more housing stock can be created through 20% inclusive housing schemes in the Pune area, allowing for more frequent draws.
The computerized draw was conducted in three phases for distributing 2427 of the 4850 flats. In the first phase, 46,477 applications were received for 1372 flats under the 20% inclusive housing scheme. The draw for 1037 flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana received 39 applications. Another draw was held for 18 flats under the MHADA housing scheme, with 16 applications.
Ashok Patil, Chief Officer of the Pune Board, mentioned that 2423 flats under the MHADA housing scheme are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should directly contact the Board for the same. He also announced that the next draw for flats will be declared soon.
