NAREDCO appoints Alok Gupta as DG
New Delhi, February 4, 2022: National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) has appointed Alok Gupta as the new Director General (DG) of the association.
Gupta has taken over the charge of NAREDCO from February 1, 2022. Prior to taking over as Director General of NAREDCO, he was serving as a Group ‘A’ Civil Service officer who retired as SADG (equivalent to Additional Secretary, Govt. of India) in June 2020 from Ministry of Defence’s Organisation.
Alok Gupta in his career spanning over 33 years with Government of India has worked in different capacities pan India, lending his expertise in Defence Lands Management. He has successfully defended Govt. interests in various land matters in courts.
He has also worked as CEO in municipal bodies of defence ministry and aided in matters connected with town planning, preparation of zonal plans etc. of local bodies.

Welcoming the appointment, Rajan Bandelkar, President, NAREDCO said “Alok Gupta’s vast experience will strengthen the growth and development of NAREDCO. We are assured that under his leadership NAREDCO Secretariat will play an important role to work closely with government departments and give shape to a robust realty sector. We hope to forge ahead together as a team towards a brighter future.”
