Naredco hails Centre nod to GDA policy
The National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco) on February 12 welcomed the Central Government’s decision to approve DDA’s ‘Green Development Area (GDA) policy.
The policy aims to regulate development in designated rural areas and green belts in the city. The draft policy seeks to incorporate the low density residential areas of the Capital where most of the farmhouses are located.
Niranjan Hiranandani, National President, Naredco, said, “This policy will provide an integrated framework for ‘green-oriented’ development. The move seeks to provide an integrated framework for development of land falling in designated green belts and low-density residential areas, according to the Master Plan for Delhi 2021.”
Gaurav Jain, Vice-President (North), Naredco, said, “This policy will provide an integrated framework for ‘green-oriented’ development of lands falling in these areas. It will pave the way for new development.”
