NDMC posts record revenue collection of Rs 3408.29 crore

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has registered a record revenue collection of Rs 3408.29 crore surpassing the target for the financial year 2015-16 by Rs 122 crore.
According to a PTI report, NDMC exercises civic jurisdiction over an area that is home to some of the richest people in the city.
NDMC has also posted the highest collection in property tax in five years, with an increase of 20 per cent over its haul previous year.
“NDMC has collected Rs 3408.29 crore against the revised estimate of Rs 3,286.89 crore for 2015-16. In property tax, there is a collection of Rs 444 crore, with an increase of 20 per cent against the collection of Rs 370 crore in 2014-15,” NDMC said in a statement.
