Noida-Greater Noida Metro to be ready by 2017: Officials
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) announced on Friday that the under construction 30-km Noida-Greater Noida Metro link, will open by November 2017. According to a report publish to a media, the trail run is expected to begin in June 2017.
An official announced the new date after reviewing the project in Sector 29. Senior officials of NMRC and DMRC together reviewed the progress o the project.
Noida- Greater- Noida Metro link, the longest link outside Delhi, will provide metro connectivity to Greater Noida’s remote residential areas sharing the border with Dadri.
“We hope to complete the projects before the scheduled deadline. As per the detailed project report (DPR), the scheduled deadline is March 2018. We are working on modalities to provide cashless smart cards common for Noida and Delhi metro,” said Rama Raman, managing director (MD) of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) that owns the project.
