Parties Must Upload The Documents On UP RERA Portal In The Right Format
Lucknow/Gautambudh Nagar, March 30, 2024: U.P. RERA has issued a new order regarding the uploading of documents by the parties on its complaint portal in a proper format. It has directed the parties that whenever they need to upload a documentary file on the complaint portal, it must be in the PDF format. The PDF of the document should be prepared with the help of a scanner machine. If the scanner machine is not available and the document is being scanned with the help of a mobile phone, an appropriate scanner App should be used. The document should be placed on a flat surface and then scanned.
U.P. RERA has increased the permissible size of the PDF file to 3 MB from the existing 2 MB taking into consideration the requests of the parties to the complaints. The 3 MB size is supposed to be sufficient for every document required to be uploaded. However, if a document needs to be compressed because of its large size, the parties should refer to the guidelines for PDF compression attached with RERA order dated 28-03-2024. The parties should verify the quality of the compressed PDF before uploading and should re-compress the PDF in case the first PDF is not of good quality. The parties should desist from re-compressing the already compressed PDF which may result in corrupting the file. They should rather compress the original PDF itself.

Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairman U.P. RERA said that often the documents uploaded by the parties are not legible causing delay in hearing and disposal of complaints. Under these circumstances RERA has to grant additional opportunity to the concerned parties for uploading proper documents and this leads to adjournment of the cases which is not in the interest of the parties. If the parties do take required minimum precaution at the time uploading of the documents, it will really help their own cause of securing speedy justice.
