Patel Infrastructure Sets World Records, Builds 6-Lane Expressway on UP’s Ganga Expressway in 24 Hours

New Delhi, May 21, 2025: Patel Infrastructure Ltd, a pioneer in infrastructure construction, has set a world record for the fastest construction of a six-lane Ganga Expressway project, the longest expressway in a state.

The company laid 20,105 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete on 34.24 km, covering 1,71,210 sq m, in 24 hours. Patel Infrastructure’s ancillary company, Road Shield Private Limited, installed 10 km of metal beam crash barrier.

The achievement was recognised by the Golden Book of World Records, India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.

The record was possible under the vision and supervision of Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) CEO Manoj Kumar Singh. With full support from local and state authorities, the completion of this critical stretch holds immense significance for both the local region and the state of Uttar Pradesh, serving as a catalyst for regional development and national connectivity.

The record was set on the prestigious Ganga Expressway Project (Group-3), a project of Adani Road and Transport Limited, a landmark infrastructure initiative spearheaded by UPEIDA between Hardoi and Unnao.

Operations, which commenced at 5 am on May 17 and were completed by 5 am on May, involved a highly coordinated effort of engineers, machinery, materials and skilled labour working seamlessly for 24 hours straight.

Arvind Patel, MD, Patel Infrastructure, said, “We are proud to contribute to nation-building through such monumental achievements. This is not just a record; it’s a reflection of Indian engineering brilliance and our team’s unwavering spirit.”
