Powerplay Reports up to 4X Growth in Platform Spend Following AI Agent Adoption

New Delhi, October 26, 2026: Powerplay, a construction technology platform building an AI workforce for contractors and builders across India, has recorded up to 4X growth in platform spend over approximately 18 months among customers adopting its AI agents, according to a press release. The growth figure compares the same customers’ spend before and after adopting the platform’s AI tools.
The company’s AI workforce includes an AI Purchase Executive, which helps contractors compare supplier rates, track material requirements, and verify purchase orders against project budgets. Additionally, its AI Credit Analyst organizes project information and documentation for credit applications through lending partners. Together, the AI agents aim to align purchasing requirements with working-capital options, while credit approval decisions remain with respective lending institutions.
Powerplay’s annualized marketplace transaction volume has expanded from approximately Rs 36 crore to around Rs 100 crore over the past year. Over the same period, financing volume facilitated through its bank and non-banking financial company (NBFC) partners grew more than eightfold off a small base across four cities.

“For a contractor, procurement and finance cannot work in isolation. The team needs to know what a project requires, what materials will cost and whether the funds will be available when payments are due. We are building an AI Workforce that can take on much of the coordination involved in these decisions, using the project data already available on Powerplay. By bringing procurement and financing together, we want to help contractors and builders across India in managing their day-to-day operations more efficiently,” said Iesh Dixit, Co-founder and CEO, Powerplay.
The platform currently hosts more than 40,000 construction firms and 85,000 projects. The company is seeking to expand its role in contractors’ daily operations by moving beyond tracking project activities to actively assisting with procurement and financing workflows.
