Raman is now Noida Authority CEO

The Uttar Pradesh Government has revised the portfolio of Rama Raman, Chairman of the three development authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar, but kept him in Noida’s hot seat.
He was CEO of the Noida Authority and chairman of the Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway development authorities. After the latest order, he remains only the CEO of Noida Authority.
Uttar Pradesh‘s Agriculture Production Commissioner Pravir Kumar has been made the Chairman of Noida, Greater Noida and YEIDA Authorities. He has also been made the CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
In the latest bureaucratic shakeup announced by the Government, CEO of YEIDA was made the Additional CEO of Noida. The other changes included appointment of Deepak Agarwal as CEO, Greater Noida; PC Gupta, Additional CEO, Greater Noida, being transferred to Mainpuri as District Magistrate and Rajesh Prakash, Additional CEO (Noida) shifted to Firozabad as DM.
Earlier on July 1, the Allahabad High Court had barred Raman from functioning as head of the three development authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar. Three days later, the state Government removed him from the post. Sanjay Agarwal, Principal Secretary (Power) and Chairman of the UP Power Corporation Limited, was temporarily given the charge of the three authorities.
The HC had taken a grim view of Raman’s continuance in the coveted posts for the last six years and had questioned whether the state Government could not find anyone better to replace him. Raman was appointed by the Mayawati Government in 2010.
