Redevelopment Of Min Of External Affairs Housing At KG Marg in Delhi To Begin Soon

New Delhi, Feb 15, 2024: The “Bhoomi Poojan Ceremony” for the redevelopment of Ministry of External Affairs Housing at KG Marg, New Delhi, took place on February 14, 2024. The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries including YK Sailas Thangal, Joint Secretary, MEA, Nidhi Anand, Senior Architect, MEA and KP Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC. BKSokhey, Director (Finance), NBCC, Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), NBCC and Manoj Shrivastava, GM, NBCC along with other distinguished guests from both organizations were present on the occasion.
With a project value of approximately Rs 261.70 Crores, NBCC has been entrusted with the execution of this transformative endeavor. The scope of work includes the construction of 54 Type-VI Quarters, 18 Type-IV Quarters, and 18 Transit Quarters, reflecting a commitment to providing modern and sustainable housing solutions. The project’s overarching objective is to achieve a 4 Star GRIHA rating, underscoring the emphasis on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in the development of landscape of KG Marg, New Delhi and reaffirms the commitment of both the Ministry of External Affairs and NBCC to enhance infrastructure and create conducive living environment for its residents.
