RenewSys Launches AI-Powered 3 GW Solar Facility in Khopoli
Mumbai, March 17, 2026:
RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. officially inaugurated its new 3 GW solar module manufacturing facility today at the IndoSpace Industrial Park in Khopoli, Maharashtra. This AI-powered, fully automated plant spans over 7 lakh sq. ft. and represents a pivotal expansion for the company, which holds the distinction of being India’s first integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and components, the company said in a press release.
The commissioning of the Khopoli site brings RenewSys’s total manufacturing capacity to 5.6 GW. By leveraging advanced production technologies and real-time digital monitoring, the facility is designed to ensure high-precision output and consistent product quality. Its strategic location near Mumbai offers multimodal connectivity, which the company expects will drastically improve supply-chain efficiency and provide faster access to both domestic and international markets.
During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Guest Saif Dhorajiwala, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fourth Partner Energy, joined company leadership to mark the milestone. The facility is engineered to support high-volume production through its AI-enabled lines, while maintaining a layout that allows for seamless logistics integration and future scalable expansion.
