RITES Assures Quality for Barapullah Nallah Phase-III Elevated Road Project in Delhi

GURUGRAM, October 1, 2026: The newly inaugurated Barapullah Nallah Phase-III Elevated Road Project, connecting Mayur Vihar Phase-I with Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi, marks a major expansion of the capital’s urban transportation network. RITES, a multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy organization, supported the development through independent inspection, material testing, and quality-control assessments to ensure strict compliance with prescribed technical specifications and safety standards, RITES said in a press release.
The elevated corridor strengthens connectivity between East and South Delhi, featuring a four-lane dual carriageway alongside dedicated cycle tracks, footpaths, flyovers, ramps, and loops. A primary structural feature of the project is an extradosed bridge constructed across the Yamuna River using high-strength M-75 grade concrete.
Engineers utilized precast prestressed concrete segments erected through free cantilevering from pylons, supported by a Parallel Strand System. The execution involved extensive foundation and structural engineering work, including approximately 86,000 meters of bored cast-in-situ reinforced cement concrete piles and around 137,000 cubic meters of concrete works across various grades.
Through its role in independent monitoring and quality assurance, RITES assisted project authorities in verifying structural integrity across all engineering phases. The successful completion of the project highlights the firm’s technical capabilities in delivering large-scale, high-complexity urban infrastructure developments across India.
