SAIL Reports Rs 24,675 Crore Revenue in Q2 FY25

New Delhi / November 7, 2024: SAIL today announced its financial results for the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The steelmaker reported revenue from operations of Rs 24,675 crore, with crude steel production reaching 4.76 million tonnes and sales volume at 4.10 million tonnes. The company’s EBITDA stood at Rs 3,174 crore, and profit before tax reached Rs 1,113 crore. Profit after tax for the quarter was recorded at Rs 834 crore, a statement from the company said.
SAIL also announced its financial results for the first half (H1) of the current fiscal year. The steelmaker reported a revenue Rs 48,672 crore from operations, with crude steel production reaching 9.46 million tonnes and sales volume at 8.11 million tonnes. The company’s EBITDA stood at Rs 5,593 crore, and profit before tax reached Rs 1,127 crore. Profit after tax for the half-year period was recorded at Rs 844 crore, the statement added.
The company’s performance in the second quarter of the current financial year has shown improvement compared to the previous quarter. Revenue from operations, EBITDA, and sales volume all increased in Q2 FY’25 over Q1 FY’25. However, lower performance in Q2 FY’25 compared to the same period last year (Q2 FY’24) was influenced by factors like cheaper imports and a decrease in domestic demand.
