SAIL supplied around 55000 metric tonnes of steel for Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line

New Delhi, December 25, 2017: Continuing to partner all major metro constructions across the country, Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) has supplied approximately 55000 metric tonnes of steel for the Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line, which was inaugurated today by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narenda Modi. SAIL has supplied TMT, Structurals and Plates for this project. The 12.64 Km long section of the Magenta line (Botanical Garden to Kalkaji) inaugurated today is part of the entire 36.98 km stretch that will connect Janakpuri west to Botanical Garden.
SAIL is committed to collaborate in the construction of all major national projects. In recent past some of the major projects where SAIL steel has been used include Mizoram’s biggest Tuirial Hydro electric project, Gujarat’s Sardar Sarovar project, country’s longest bridge ‘Dhola-Sadiya’ in Assam, etc.
