Sit Better for Longer: Senator Group India Unveils Innovative Office Chair

Bengaluru, September 10, 2025: The Senator Group India, subsidiary of the UK headquartered ‘The Senator Group’, one of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world, has unveiled ‘FreeFlow’, an innovatively designed office chair featuring two new technologies- ‘Auto-AdapTec’ and ‘FinTec’. These proprietary technologies enable a dynamic, synchronized reclining mechanism that adjusts to the user’s weight and posture without manual adjustments, offering a revolutionary solution for those who require comfort and spinal support, while also addressing a frequently asked question relating to the office: how can people sit better for longer?

The unique design and spine of FreeFlow is based on the counter-rotating movement of a fish. This nature inspired movement sync’s autoadaptively the user’s movements – with no need for adjustments. The secret power behind FreeFlow, designed by the Germany based industrial designer Volker Eysing, is the introduction of two new technologies ‘Auto-AdapTec’ and ‘FinTec’:

Auto-AdapTec offers a revolutionary solution by providing continuous, dynamic support for both the upper and lower back. Its design prioritises maintaining an upright pelvis, a cornerstone of healthy sitting posture. By seamlessly adapting to the user’s movements and reclining positions, Auto-AdapTec ensures consistent support while naturally aligning with the spine’s curvature—all without requiring manual adjustments.

FinTec is a series of innovative polycarbonate curve supports encased in layered foam, offering users the perfect balance of support and flexibility throughout their workday. Designed to flex both horizontally and vertically, FinTec adapts seamlessly to each user’s movements, unlike most office chairs that have a static back.

“Physicians and ergonomists have consistently emphasised that humans are not designed for prolonged sitting, leading to widespread back pain at the office. The primary cause of this pain is improper or extended sitting, which places excessive strain on the back due to our natural inclination to stand. In response to this issue, FreeFlow has been developed, offering an innovative design aimed at improving how people sit for longer periods,” said Vamsidharr Setty – Managing Director India, The Senator Group.
