Sumadhura Group Unveils Sustainable Urban Roadway in East Bengaluru Designed to Serve over 5,000 Families
Bengaluru, November 21, 2025: Sumadhura Group has announced the development of a 1.4-kilometre first-of-its-kind sustainable urban roadway, a flagship infrastructure initiative designed to significantly improve mobility, safety, and environmental quality for more than 5,000 families in the community. As a part of its Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) initiative, the Group has re-constructed a 1.4 km Roadway stretch on Doddabbanahalli road, off Whitefield-Hoskote main road in East Bengaluru, designed to elevate mobility, safety, and environmental resilience for more than 5,000 families residing in the surrounding vicinity. The inauguration of the road was held in the presence of Former MLA Aravind Limbavali, Mahadevapura MLA Manjula Limbavali, and Sumadhura Group Chairman and Managing Director Madhusudhan G.

What was once a narrow, underdeveloped road has been transformed into a state-of-the-art two-way carriageway, improving connectivity and daily commutes for residents. This stretch now combines modern infrastructure, eco-conscious water management, and aesthetic upgrades, creating a safe, vibrant, and sustainable urban space.
The urban corridor features strategically designed rainwater recharge pits that naturally replenish groundwater, while any excess runoff is safely directed to nearby recharge trenches, helping prevent urban flooding and supporting the surrounding ecosystem.

The project also introduces a modern drainage system, advanced stormwater management, and thoughtfully planned street lighting, turning a once difficult and unsafe route into a safe, welcoming, and environmentally resilient corridor for both pedestrians and vehicles.
Aesthetics and community well-being have been thoughtfully integrated. The corridor features lush green belts, avenue plantations, pedestrian seating zones with benches and segregated waste bins, all framed by freshly painted compound walls for a vibrant, premium look.
With ongoing maintenance by Sumadhura Group, this transformed stretch stands as a symbol of progress, sustainability, and enhanced living standards, offering lasting benefits for residents and the wider community.

Commenting on the same, Madhusudhan G, CMD, Sumadhura Group, said, “Our approach to urban infrastructure development puts community needs and sustainable growth at the forefront. Sumadhura has been shaping Whitefield for over two decades, long before it became the vibrant, sought-after hub it is today. As one of the early developers in this area, we played a key role in building its identity, infrastructure, and growth. Seeing a road built by our Group that not only addresses the daily challenges of thousands of families but also sets new standards in urban infrastructure is a moment of immense pride and fulfillment for all of us.
“This road, transforming the lives of over 5,000 families, is more than just an infrastructure upgrade—it is a testament to our commitment to building greener, smarter, and more resilient communities. We haven’t merely constructed a stretch of connectivity; we have created a blueprint for sustainable, community-first urban development that Bengaluru truly deserves.”
