Supertech plans to launch university soon, to invest Rs 750 cr
Realty major Supertech Limited is diversifying into education, marked by the announcement to launch Supertech University, an initiative of Supertech Foundation, which is being set up in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand.
Located at the foothills of Himalayas in Uttarakhand, on a land of 47 acre lush green campus, approximately 237 Km from Delhi, this university will be the first major milestone by Supertech into the higher education sector.
RK Arora, chairman and managing director, Supertech Limited said, “Supertech University will be our first venture in the education sector.
Building homes to building institutions is a leap of faith inspired by motivation to touch lives of millions, bringing about transformative changes. I sincerely believe that when the student is ready, the teacher appears. Speaking on the occasion, Prof VPS Arora, vice chancellor, Supertech University, said, “I am immensely happy and feel honored to be part of this University from the inception and nurture it into an island of excellence as its Founding Vice Chancellor. I congratulate RK Arora and his dedicated team for showing their deep commitment towards education which is a game changer. Only a visionary will think of enduring value creation. Coming in the aftermath of one of the biggest humanitarian tragedies in Uttarakhand, such altruism couldn’t be more appropriate and timely”.
Supertech University aims at creating a value-based, innovation driven, and research led world-class teaching and learning environment. The University will offer programmes in the domains of Architecture and Planning, Earth, Environment and Space Studies, Education, Engineering and Technology, Fashion and Design, Hospitality and Tourism, Languages and Communication, Law and Governance, Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Studies, Medical and Health Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences and Public Policy.
