Tata Housing sells a villa online for Rs. 5.5 crore

Tata Housing recently became the first real estate developer to have sold a villa worth Rs5.5 crore through its e-commerce portal. According to a press release, the company has managed to sell more than 30 units with a price tag of over Rs1 crore, post-introduction of the concept in the country.
The release said an NRI customer purchased a house at Tata Housing’s luxury project Myst in Kasauli worth Rs 5.5 crore while another from Mumbai made a purchase at The Promont, Bengaluru for Rs4.5 crores. The Promont is a crest of four majestic towers spread across 14 acres, atop Bengaluru’s exclusive hill.
Commenting on the accomplishment, Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO – Tata Housing Development Company, said, “With increasing penetration of the Internet, we are confident that the online medium will be the fastest growing channel of sales for the industry. We will continue to invest in innovation to improve the online home buying experience in terms of interface, security and quality of transaction.”
