Three cadets of SAIL Hockey Academy win scholarship under Khelo India Talent Identification Development scheme of Sports Authority of India
Three cadets of SAIL Hockey Academy of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) have been selected by the Sports Authority of India Limited to receive a scholarship under Khelo India Talent Identification Development scheme. They are Innocent Munda, Midfielder, Rajat Minz, Forward and Nabin Kujur, Defender. The cadets were selected on the basis of their performance in the National Coaching Camps.



As per this new initiative launched by the Sports Authority of India Limited, Government of India, 734 budding sportspersons from all over the country from various disciplines of sports have been selected to receive the award. Out of the Rs, 5 lakh grant given to each cadet per annum, a stipend of Rs 1.2 lakhs for the whole year will be given in cash. The players will be supported for a maximum of eight years. The players will receive skill training at Khelo India accredited Academies.
It is worth mentioning here that Innocent and Rajat are already getting training at the National Hockey Academy, New Delhi under the SAIL banner.
