Tulip Infra Tech Conducted Fire Fighting Mock Drill

The Real estate development organization Tulip Infratech conducted a Fire Fighting mock drill at one of its Group Housing projects Tulip Violet. Tulip Violet is located at Sohna Road in sector-69 Gurgaon. Tulip Violet is a big Group housing project & has two types of towers providing 3BHK & 4BHK apartments.

The CMD of Tulip Infratech Mr Parveen Jain told that the aim of this fire mock drill was to create an awareness among the residents, guards, staff and people as to know how to tackle any kind of emergency situation. It was a well conducted mock drill giving knowledge about the location of safe exit points and routes and how to use firefighting equipment and related paraphernalia.

For this Fire fighting mock drill at Tulip Violet, residents, guards, staff of the project got together at site and then the mock drill was conducted. Some paraphernalia was set on fire and then the fire extinguishers were used to extinguish the fire to demonstrate how to use the fire extinguishers and how the things are done. In another exercise, smoke was generated at a higher floor and fire fighting water pipes were used from the ground level to throw water at high pressure aimed at the smoke on the higher upper floor to extinguish it.

In Tulip Violet, sprinklers have been provided in the basements and fire shafts opening on every floor well equipped with fire fighting equipment like fire hose reels, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants have been provided in each tower. Also fire fighting water storage tanks and their supply  lines and points have been provided at site. In this pressurized fire fighting system, tremendous water pressure is maintained always in the supply lines so that in case of fire, whenever the nozzle is opened, water shall come out with full throttle. Pressurized fans have been provided in the lifts and fire curtain walls have been provided in basements.
