Lucknow/Gautam buddh Nagar, February 24, 2026: Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has taken another significant stride toward enhancing professionalism, accountability, and transparency in the state’s real estate ecosystem. In a formal program held at its headquarters in Lucknow, the Authority awarded certificates to 94 successful candidates belonging to the 28th and 29th batches of its Agent Training Certification Program.

The certificates were presented by U.P. RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, who congratulated the participants for successfully completing the structured training and qualifying examination.

The initiative reflects the Authority’s sustained efforts to ensure that real estate agents operating in Uttar Pradesh are well-informed, legally aware, and professionally competent.

Background and Objective

Since its inception, the training sessions have been conducted regularly in Lucknow as well as in Greater Noida (Gautam Buddh Nagar), enabling wider participation from agents across different regions of the state.

According to U.P. RERA, participation in this training program is mandatory for all real estate agents both those already registered with the Authority and those seeking fresh registration. The objective behind making the training compulsory is to create a standardized knowledge base among agents and to ensure that they function in strict compliance with the provisions of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.

Curriculum

The certification program spans four days and is designed to provide comprehensive legal and practical insights into the real estate sector. During the first three days, participants receive detailed instruction on:

Key provisions of the RERA Act, U.P. RERA Rules and Regulations, Relevant sections of the Contract Act, Important provisions related to stamp registration, Roles, duties, and liabilities of real estate agents etc.

On the fourth day, participants are required to appear for a written examination. only those candidates who successfully clear the examination are granted certification.

The training fee for the program is ₹6,000, and applications are submitted online through the official U.P. RERA website, ensuring transparency and ease of access.

Positive Feedback

Certified agents expressed satisfaction with the quality and relevance of the training. Many participants stated that the program significantly enhanced their legal awareness and practical understanding of regulatory compliance. They emphasized that the course has enabled them to communicate with homebuyers and investors in a more informed, transparent, and confident manner.

Participants also appreciated the fact that the sessions were conducted by senior U.P. RERA officials and subject experts. This ensured that the training remained closely aligned with real-world regulatory challenges and operational requirements, rather than being merely theoretical in nature.

By the Numbers

So far, 34 batches of the training program have been conducted. More than 2400 candidates have registered for the course out of which 1465 candidates have participated in the training program. Results have been declared up to the 29th batch, with 1189 candidates successfully passing the examination. The latest certification program recognized 94 agents from the 28th and 29th batches who met the qualifying standards set by the Authority.

These figures indicate a steady and encouraging response from the real estate community toward formal capacity-building initiatives.

Addressing the gathering, U.P. RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy underscored the crucial role of trained agents in promoting transparency and accountability in the real estate sector. He clarified that real estate agents are not merely intermediaries facilitating transactions rather, they are vital stakeholders in the regulatory framework who contribute to protecting consumer interests.

He observed that well-trained agents are better equipped to provide accurate guidance to buyers and investors, thereby reducing the likelihood of disputes and strengthening consumer confidence in the sector.

The certification program was attended by several senior officials of the Authority, including Secretary Mahendra Verma, Financial Consultant Sudhanshu Tripathi, Assistant Engineer Arun Tiwari, Assistant Directors Amrish Kumar, Media Consultant Pranjal Dixit and Akash Yadav, along with other staff members.
