U.P. RERA Organizes 22nd Real Estate Agent Training Programme at NIET Campus, Greater Noida

Lucknow / Gautam Buddh Nagar, October 16, 2025: The 22nd Real Estate Agent Training Programme commenced on Wednesday at the NIET Campus, Greater Noida, under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA). The four-day training programme has been organized with the support of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, and was attended by 47 participants aspiring to become certified real estate agents under the RERA framework.
The programme was inaugurated jointly by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh with a lighting the ceremonial lamp.

In his inaugural address, the UP RERA Chairman highlighted that Promoters, Agents, and RERA are the three integral pillars of the real estate ecosystem. Together, they ensure consumer protection, transparency, and sectoral integrity.
He emphasized that the mandatory training and certification initiative is a major reform aimed at professionalizing the real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh. “RERA’s vision is not merely regulatory but developmental — to promote ethical conduct, enhance professional competence, and build consumer confidence,” he said.
Bhoosreddy urged participants to study allied Acts such as the Apartment Ownership Act, Contract Act, and Transfer of Property Act, and to ensure that only verified and accurate project information from the RERA portal is shared with clients. He added that the examination at the end of the course is mandatory, and those who qualify will be awarded certificates and may subsequently apply for registration as licensed real estate agents.
He concluded by stating, “U.P. RERA’s objective is not limited to regulation; it extends to creating a transparent, accountable, and trustworthy real estate environment in the state.”

In his keynote remarks, YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh appreciated U.P. RERA’s continued efforts to institutionalize capacity-building and professionalism in the real estate sector. He noted that trained and certified agents form the crucial link between buyers and developers, and that their integrity directly impacts consumer confidence.
He said, “This training programme will help agents understand their rights and duties under the law, minimize disputes, and improve the quality of engagement with homebuyers. Agents must act as responsible advisors — ensuring buyers make informed decisions based on authentic information.”
So far, 21 training batches have been successfully conducted across Lucknow and Greater Noida, training over 850 participants, out of which 7 batches have concluded in Greater Noida alone. The 22nd batch marks another step toward achieving complete professional coverage across the state.
