UP RERA Awards Certificates to Agents of 16th, 17th & 18th Training Batches

Lucknow / GautamBuddh Nagar, September 25, 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (U.P. RERA) organized the certificate distribution ceremony earlier this week at its headquarters in Lucknow for successful candidates of the 16th, 17th, and 18th batches of the ‘Agents Training and Certification Programme’. Chairperson Shri Sanjay Bhoosreddy personally handed over the certificates to 111 agents who successfully cleared the training and examination process.
The programme was first launched in December 2024 at Literacy House, Lucknow. Since then, the Authority has conducted a series of training sessions across the state, and the upcoming programme marks the 21st batch. The training has been made mandatory for all real estate agents, whether they are already registered with U.P. RERA or are seeking fresh registration. It is designed as a four-day course in which participants undergo intensive training during the first three days, covering the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, consumer rights, legal aspects of property transactions, and the responsibilities of agents in ensuring transparency and fairness in their dealings. On the fourth day, participants appear for a written examination, and only those who clear this test are awarded the certificate. The course fee is INR 6,000, and applications are accepted online through the official website of U.P. RERA.
So far, U.P. RERA has conducted 20 batches of training before the present programme. Out of a total of 1,620 applicants, 803 trainees have successfully completed the training, and those who cleared the final examination have been awarded certificates, making them eligible to work as real estate agents after registration with the Authority. The programme has thus steadily built a pool of trained professionals to serve the sector with greater efficiency and accountability.
The Authority has also received encouraging feedback from agents who have taken part in the training. Many of them expressed that they found the content highly enriching and felt better equipped to deal with homebuyers in a more professional and informed manner. Participants appreciated the interactive nature of the sessions and the fact that senior officers and subject experts of U.P. RERA themselves conduct the training, ensuring that the course is closely aligned with the real-life requirements of the sector.

Addressing the gathering, U.P. RERA Chairperson Sanjay Bhoosreddy emphasized the vital role of trained real estate agents in ensuring transparency and accountability in the sector. He said that agents are not merely intermediaries in property transactions but responsible stakeholders in safeguarding consumer interests. By undergoing structured training, agents become capable of providing accurate guidance to homebuyers and investors, which in turn reduces disputes and strengthens consumer confidence in the market. He added that U.P. RERA remains committed to improving the training system further and may soon introduce online learning modules to make the programme accessible to aspiring agents across the state.
Secretary Mahendra Verma, Principal Advisor Abrar Ahmed, Financial Advisor Shudhanshu Tripathi, Law Advisor Chandan Kumar Singh and Assistant Director Amrish Kumar were also present at the programme.
