UP RERA Distributes Certificates to 105 Real Estate Agents Following Mandatory Training Programme
Greater Noida, July 27, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) distributed certificates to successful candidates of various batches under its “Agent Training Certification Programme” at its regional office in Greater Noida on Saturday. UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy handed over the certificates to 105 real estate agents during the event, UP RERA said in a press release.
First launched in December 2024 at Literacy House in Lucknow, the training initiative has been conducted continuously across the state. Completion of the programme is mandatory for all real estate agents, including those currently registered with UP RERA as well as individuals seeking fresh registration. The four-day course dedicates the first three days to comprehensive instruction on the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA), consumer rights, legal aspects of property transactions, and agent responsibilities. Candidates undergo a written examination on the fourth day, with certificates awarded exclusively to those who pass. Applications are processed online via the official UP RERA portal for a fee of ₹6,000.
To date, 45 training batches have been held, drawing over 3,000 candidate registrations and more than 1,800 active participants. Results announced up to the 39th batch reveal that 1,627 candidates have successfully qualified. Officials note that the initiative is steadily building a roster of trained, qualified professionals aimed at fostering transparency and accountability throughout the real estate market.
Addressing the attendees, UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy highlighted the strategic importance of qualified professionals in the industry. “Trained real estate agents play a vital role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and the protection of consumer interests in the real estate sector,” Bhoosreddy said. He added that agents serve as responsible stakeholders rather than mere intermediaries, noting that trained agents are better prepared to offer buyers and investors accurate guidance, thereby minimizing disputes and bolstering consumer trust.
Bhoosreddy also cautioned that while trained agents have been given two prior opportunities to collect physical copies of their certificates, those who fail to do so could encounter difficulties when renewing their certificates in the future. He urged all remaining agents to complete the required formalities and retrieve their documents promptly. The certificate distribution event was also attended by Deputy Secretary Pankaj Saxena and Revenue Officer Anshuman Singh.
